Art Exhibits in Seattle, Autumn and Winter 2010
A prestigious traveling exhibition of Picasso art works is on display at the Seattle Art Museum from October 8, 2010 through January 17, 2011. More than 150 of Pablo Picasso’s paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and photos, representing each phase of his noteworthy career, are exhibited for the first time in the Northwest. These works are on loan from the Musee National Picasso in Paris where Picasso’s personal collection is housed.
The Harry Potter art exhibition, at downtown Seattle’s Pacific Science Center, is on display from October 23, 2010 through January 30, 2011. Inspired by the Harry Potter film sets, the dramatic displays offer a look at the craftsmanship behind authentic costumes and props from the films at the only West Coast venue to host this collection. The adjoining IMAX Theater is showing a Harry Potter Film Festival from October 22 through December 16, 2010.
